blooming creates a new space for the champaign farmer's market - an event that currently takes place in a parking lot. to give the market a unique space, blooming is inspired by the products that the market sells - flowers, fruits, and vegetables.
while roots inspire the form of the building as a whole, the structural system is modeled after stems, leaves, & their arrangement.
