socks yeah! there’s (almost) enough

yarn 2 - socks yeah! fingering, 75% superwash merino, 25% nylon, chalcedony 123
yarn 3 - manos del uruguay, alegría, 75% wool -merino, 25% nylon/ polyamide, turmeric
pattern - shape based on: alfrick socks, rachel coopey, design: no pattern


these socks were created to use the remainder of the yarn from the alfrick socks. unfortunately, there was not enough for both pairs of socks, so manos del uruguay alegría was integrated into the design as well. th is project is worked in the round, cuff-down, using the magic loop method. after the ribbing on the cuff, the sock is worked in stockinette. the toe included a fair isle pattern that i designed.




the cuff was originally knit very short and i decided that it was uncomfortable. rather than starting over, i used a crochet hook to pick up stitches from the cast-on edge and continued knitting the ribbing. in the image below, the grey yarn was the original cast-on point; the yellow yarn was added.
